Then you will drive about 20 minutes and reach Mogao Grottoes, which were built in the pre-Qin period of the Sixteen Kingdoms. After the construction of the Sixteen Kingdoms, the Northern Dynasty, the Sui, the Tang, the Five Dynasties, the Western Xia and the Yuan Dynasties, the grottoes formed a huge scale with 735 caves, 45,000 square meters of murals and 2415 clay sculptures. It is the largest and richest Buddhist art sacred place in the world.
